Devine Biography
I have been a photo-journalist for
30 years, with a career spanning every aspect of the media, from
newspapers and glossy magazines to broadcasting.
To
briefly sum up my achievements, I started off at the Evening
Times, in Glasgow, where I remained for four years. I then
spent five years at the Herald, eight
years at the Daily Record and a year
at the Sunday Scot.
An urge to travel took me to Australia where I worked for two years
at the Brisbane Sunday Mail, before
returning to Scotland for a year's stint at a photo-agency in Edinburgh.
I also worked briefly for an agency in New York. (Another broken
heart!)

My
current clients include weekend supplements for the Daily
Mail, Sunday People and News
Of The World. I also regularly provide material for the Daily
Mail's Fe-Mail section. Magazine clients include Hello!,
OK, The Journal
and women's weeklies, such as Woman
and Women's Realm. I have also done
brochures Stateside for Disney. Regular
work for the BBC, STV,
Grampian and Channel
4 includes stills and celebrity shoots.
Among my long list of one-to-one celebrity shoots include David
Duchovny, Jane Russell, Rod
Steiger, Lauren Bacall, Sophia
Loren, Ewan McGregor, Rod
Stewart, Elton John and Sir
Cliff Richard. I have also recently done a private shoot
for Sting and his family before Madonna's
wedding in the Scottish Highlands.
I have been fortunate enough to win Scottish, British and World
press awards, and my camera systems are 35mm, 2 1/4 and full electronic
equipment with ISDN line.
